Enter the Gingerbread House Creation Contest!
ENTRY
To be eligible for the competition, the blow online entry form must be submitted and received by Thursday, December 6, 2018 by 5pm CST.. Entry numbers will be assigned upon receipt of completed entry forms AND online donation to Chef's Table Charities. Please complete one (1) entry form per house/creation. Multiple entries are allowed, but only (1) in each division, and every entry require as submission form and confirmed online donation to CTC per entry. A fee/donation will be required of all entries except the PRO division. . All entry fee proceeds/donations go directly to Chef's Table Charities, a registered 501(c)(3)..
DESIGN AND SIZE
The structure may not exceed 24 inches high, 24 inches wide, and 24 inches long. Entry must be placed on a board base. We suggest using ½” or ¾” plywood as a base for your entry. If you would like to install “legs” on the bottom of your base, they will be considered part of your base and should not cause the entry’s height to exceed 18 inches. The use of pegs or risers as legs is preferred, but not required, to help in the transportation of the entry. (YOU MUST read complete complete contest rules for more details!)
MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION
The main structure should be constructed of at least 50% gingerbread, sugar cookies, graham cracker, any other goodies to construct a house.structure, some of which should be exposed. The use of gum paste, fondant, modeling chocolate, royal icing, Isomalt, cast sugar, gelatin and pressed sugar is highly encouraged. Do not use anything on the entry that needs refrigeration. The use of battery-powered electrics and non-edible materials is ALLOWED...make it fun, just cover it up with yummy stuff!. (YOU MUST read complete complete contest rules for more details!)
JUDGING AND PRIZES
Judging will be held Sunday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00pm. during the Chef's Table Charities Holiday Extravaganza behind the Stuttgarden Tavern - Texas City location, inside Mall of the Mainland. The winners will be announced that same day. More details about drop-off, set-up, and pick up information is detailed in the contest rules Prizes will be announced closer to the event, but bragging rights is going to be priceless!

- Originality and Creativity
- Difficulty
- Consistency of Theme
- Precision and Neatness
- Make sure you READ ALL OF THE RULES! You must be clear on how this is all going to work.
- Be prepared that the donation to participate is $15 donation to Chef's Table Charities.

WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IN THE PRO DIVISION?
We are looking for recommendations on who you would like to see in our Pro Division!
Our Pros will have a few less limits on what they can create, how big it can be, and what they use...all because we want to see them show off! We are only accepting LOCAL Bay Area, Texas Restaurants, Bakeries, Established small businesses that deal in food or beverage, and/or employed chefs
from these same kind of businesses.
We ask that these creations will be donated to Chef's Table Charities to use in the silent auction at theHoliday Extravaganza on Sunday, December 16th 2018!
